No one should be denied full restoration of rights and participation in society once they’ve paid their debt. It’s bizarre and frankly who cares? No one is obligated to associate with a convicted criminal but the idea of rendering people complete non citizens even after they’ve been to prison and for all intents and purposes are law abiding is asinine and pointlessly punitive. Just like it’s tiring when people bring up the fact that John Lennon beat his wife it’s just as tiring and obnoxious that in every discussion about or related to Jeepers Creepers someone always has to bring up the fact that Salva is a convicted sexual predator and then everyone gives themselves a pat on the back for being so “moral” because they don’t watch the films. Rocket Raccoon has already had a hard time of it in the other Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy films. I don’t consume media based off the morality of the creators. It’s exactly why I don’t look into the personal lives and beliefs of celebrities because I genuinely don’t care and there’s really no point. So many of the famous rock stars from the 1960s-1980s had sex with underage girls but that doesn’t change the quality of their music or their well deserved reputation as the best in their industry. You could make similar arguments concerning other media (films, TV, music etc) made by immoral people. The same goes for Salva’s first film Clownhouse which is underrated. Jeepers Creepers is one of my favorite films and in my opinion one of the best horror films of the 2000s and I won’t stop watching it because the creator is a moral monster. It’s a beaten to death topic so I’ll just post the same thing I did in the last Salva thread. Who cares what the cast thinks? It seems like a thread about Salva gets made every other week.
